I have been reading other blogs and getting caught up with all the cool stories. This got me thinking of stories I could tell on my blog. Some of the stories have been deep and very revealing about their personalities and experiences. Other blogs are very informative and day to day experiences. So I have been brain storming ideas for things that are interesting I would like to keep for my own journaling.
Brainstorm story #1-
On Eliza's 2nd birthday we had a Easter egg hunt with friends and family because her birthday fell on Easter. So I thought that would be creative and fun to do a pre-Easter egg hunt. Plus it is a good warm up for the kids who don't have a clue on how the whole easter egg hunt goes. So her birthday came and went and it was a success! Then Easter Sunday came with the full Easter dinner at my sister's house. It was a great day and we invited a neighbor friends over to enjoy this day with our family. Then the unthinkable happened! Well Eliza's favorite uncle is Uncle Christian. She finds him absolutely facinating. So according to my brother Eliza was making funny faces at him. That was her big thing was the song "Funny Faces" from a Sesame Street video, and they all make funny faces. So for the next few months she went around making funny faces at people. Well Christian was like well was is good for the geese is good for the gander. So he flipped his eyes lids inside out and made a funny face at Eliza. The events after that is a little hazy but Eliza just covered her eyes and screamed. For months if she even heard Christian's name she would flip. In fact that day I had to leave early because I couldn't get her to calm down. I think she was afraid that Christian was going to do that to her eyes. Bec I couldn't get her hands off her eyes, and she was scared beyond anything I have ever seen. It has now been a year and a few months and Eliza is still afraid of the eye lid flipping routine. Luckily time has healed this scary event from her life. Christian has spent months regaining Eliza's trust. He is now her favorite uncle again.

Funny you should mention that story... my brothers did the same thing when they were here last month. My boys weren't traumatized (completely), but it did make for some interesting conversations.
It must be in the genes... ;)
Well my Dad use to do that eye lid thing with us when we were younger. I bet Grandpa use to do it!
