preschool, birthday, new pet!

Eliza is now in preschool. She started in June at the YMCA, but was not meant to go there. She just got sicker and sicker going to that school. Plus her obvious lack of excitment. Finally at the end of June I withdrew and decided to wait for ms. Amy's preschool. She is in our ward. I have been so impressed with the school and how organized it has been. She gets so excited to come to school and loves her new friends. So it makes me happy that we have a new outlet for her!
Dale's birthday was yesterday! He is now 31 years young. We had a little tradition in our family that when it is your birthday it isn't for a day it is for a weekend plus or minus. So he let me know on Thursday that his birthday was coming up and he needed to start his birthday weekend. Mind you his birthday was on Wed next week. But hey my birthday last July lasted a whole month! Crazy! So I couldn't really complain. So I got a babysitter for Thursday night and we went out with Dale's fam. Friday it was Dale is right today bec it is his birthday, plus I got up with the kids so he could sleep in. Saturday, we had family day and I got another babysitter so we could go out. We went out to Freestone park and feed duck and Eliza rode all the rides. The train was real fun! We later we went to Bart and Suzy-Mom's house and went swimming. Way fun especially since we were so hot from the earlier events. Papa (Bart) was so nice to watch the kids so Dale and I could go to the Indiana Jones movie (Dale's choice) and grab a quick bite. Sunday I let Dale sleep in till 9. Then I cleaned up the house so my fam could come over for Rachel and Kimball's birthday. Monday I made his other favorite food lasagna. Tues I went grocery shopping to get ready for the big day and cleaned the house, did yard work, and took the trash out. Then I made Dale one of his favorite foods- tacos! Wed- his birthday I made him ceral, and strawberry/banana smoothies, he went golfing with Vaughn, I made subs for lunch and we did his birthday cake with Vaughn and Eliza. Eliza was so excited about putting all the candles in the frozen key lime pie. It was so fun seeing her get so excited! Ahh kids make everything so much more exciting! Then Vaughn took Dale shopping for shoes and then they went to Eagle Eye the movie. We ordered pizza for the night and got to relax watching our favorite TV series Roswell. We get net flicks and love TV series! Then I sent Dale a e-birthday card. So that wraps up his birthday in a nutshell, until Sunday when my family celebrates his birthday!
We finally have a new pet......drum roll...tatatatatatat a ground squirrel! We absolutely love it... so far. It made it's habitat by our air conditioning units. So I put some food on the porch in hopes to catch the little critter. Waa la! Here it is! We think it is pregnant and soon to have babies. So low maintance, doesn't poop or pee in the house, can entertain itself, doesn't need us to feed or water the critter. So perfect pet for us!
