Samuel had his 1st birthday, on the 30th. He is turning into such a toddler. Getting into everything, whinning quite a bit (the way of communication), loves hugs and kisses, especially likes the men in our family (Vaughn, Dale, Papa, Grandpa, Uncle Rex). They say that your sons will follow more after their father. So true! Samuel knows he is a boy and wants mostly men to hold him, except for me of course. So it has been hard getting a babysitter bec he will cry for them. But Eliza likes mostly ladies, Grandma Jones, Nana, Mom, Rachel, and really likes Brooke. Anyways, I thought that was a weird observation.
Halloween was fun Eliza was a little doll and Samuel was a lizard. I didn't let Samuel go trick or treating bec he had a stomach bug. But he really liked his sucker though! Eliza had fun with her cousins going up and down the street in my mom's neighborhood. We both got so tired. She was like " mom I am so tired, I don't want to anymore candy." When do you ever hear that!
Nana and Papa made such a drive to come see both of them so they could get pictures. Eliza was so excited to see her grandparents.
Can I tell how excited I am about the weather! My kids played in the backyard today for over an hour. We now have a Little Tikes playground equipment thanks to Christian and Brooke. Thanks Vaughn for helping Dale put it together. Samuel is just happy as a clam if he is outside, preferrable chewing on rocks. I usually just let him, bec the rocks are big. I just keep a eye on him and make him spit them out every so often. I am thinking I should just water my rocks just so I can get all the dirt off so it isn't too bad. But he will eventually figure out that they don't taste good. HA!
My ground squirrel is doing good. He recently chewed up my mop we decided to put in the backyard to let it dry. It was kind of irritating bec it reminds me of having a dog. I like my squirrel only if it doesn't chew up stuff. I think this might the beginning of a bad relationship. I will keep you posted!
Elections, wow, what to say! I am so glad all the marriage amendment props passed for Florida, California, and Arizona! It will be interesting to see how Obama is going to run the country. Since he has both the Senate and the House, I am sure a lot of things are going to be done. Rather scary though with the plans he has. I just don't trust him. I wonder what his agenda is, and where his loyalties are. Plus he completely straight off lied when McCain confronted him about his past. I don't like liars. That is strike one.
